You succeeded! HAHAHA! *gives you a gold ribbon*
Oh I know you were giving me a hard time so I decided to give you one right back! :P Guess I did a good job then!
Haha I was just joking silly bean! I meant that (prolly) everyone loves that feeling. Then you know you did good! I meant that I thought you were crazy for thinking ppl think what you were saying was weird.
Am I making sense? I'm kinda confused. Basically, <3!
And what exactly about that makes me insane?! I know I'm crazy but I'd love to know what your red flag was!?
That's not weird at all, you crazy!!!!!
I have yet to turn to jelly that's for sure.
i crawl because it's too difficult to walk after my muscles have turned into jelly! LOL
i know i did a good workout when i crawl out of the gym. hahaha
Yeah I kind of need to. I guess it's more of a habit thing that I'm not used to just yet.
maybe you should rearrange your schedule, getting fit is a big priority and it requires dedication. but if you can sleep in in the morning, then it should not be a problem.
Yeah I'm realizing that now. I'm just really not a morning person and by afternoon/evening I'm at work. *le sigh*
LOL don't do it at night. It gets your blood pumping and it becomes harder for you to sleep! do it morning or afternoon, but preferably in the morning.
Yeah that's how I've been doing it. Last night I power walked the 4 miles. I had been doing two miles prior to that and I'm not sore today but I know it was a bit tough. so I'm thinking of doing it again tonight. it's a great energy boost. Not sure if I should keep doing it at night though. Cause then I end up staying up until 1am?!?
i usually worked out about 3x a week but I was very lenient with myself. When I hit about 140+ lbs early last year, I went 5-6 days a week until I lost 20lbs in about 1 1/2 month. then I slowed down and did a strict 3x a week workout sched. BUT THEEEEENNNN my grandfather passed away and I went to Seattle to be with family and you know how it is when you're with family--you EAT EAT EAT all the time... plus it was the holidays, so I gained between 13-15lbs. So I started doing really hard workouts 4-5x a week. Now that I've lost it, I'm back to 3-4x a week.
Yeah, don't rush into running. When you feel slightly more confident, do some power walking to test out the waters first.
I feel pretty good. It was the first time I kicked it up to 4 miles so that was pretty awesome. Although I'm totally not ready for running I have a few more weeks to go before I tackle that hurdle but I've been contemplating trying Step Aerobics since it's just as many calories burned as running for the same amount of time. So I might do that once I conquer the 4 mile. I did notice this morning when I got out of the shower that my legs are toning up. So YAY for that! I know it's not much but just knowing that it's there is a little victory in and of itself. So I have to ask how many times a week do you workout?!
good for you then! i did a 4-mile yesterday too and my legs are killing me because i've been doing it for about a week straight! usually i give myself a 24 hour rest period every 3rd day but I've been eating a lot so I didn't want to slack off.
how're you feeling about the workout? feel great?
sometimes that's what you have to do :S
Yeah the later debate in the conversation was to do the 2 mile or the 4 mile. I did the 4 mile.
*raises hand*
that sounded like the argument i had inside my head before i went for a jog earlier tonight. i am pissed that my leg muscles hurt but i know i did the right thing. so, GO YOU! :)
Whatever works for hun!
Yeah well my issues is always trying to "Suck it up" once I finally do that I'm in the clear.
Yeah it's true... I go from not eating sugar at all to eating sugar again so working out every time I have something sweet is a MUST.
I think that happens to most of us. I try to remember that I always feel better after I actually suck it up and work out. It's a tough battle sometimes.
Yeah. That's a good motivation. I like the one that goes, "that cupcake is only gonna take you 1 minute to eat, but being fit/healthy is gonna last you years!" or something like that <3 I like to use that one.
It was extremely intense, she revealed her face and I think I actually died a little inside I was so disappointed with myself for all my excuses and all the things I bitch about, talk about getting some perspective
You have to realize I've been fighting with this for about a month now. So when I've made progress I can look at it and say to myself do you want to be there or here!? And that usually snaps me out of it. Plus I always feel better after I workout so I try to remind myself of that and enjoy that feeling while it lasts.
Haha. I have the same inner dialogue, but it's just not as strong as yours, lol. I only work-out when I really want to.
Yeah it's crazy I'm trying to err on the side of good not evil when it comes to better myself. And I'm making progress but OH LORD is it a pain!
Hey it's totally true!!!
wow that is so intense. I only watched the first part of the interview and wow. I don't think I'd even want to experience anything like that even on a minor level.
Totally have it and bad me always prevails..but that post I just made is all about that lol
The bad me usually wins.
hahaha! Too cute!
It's hard, I am the same way really. I need to find a better job. I applied at some places and then gave up. I need to do this or that, life would be so much better if I blah blah blah blah, but I usually never follow through. Its hard to do what's needed when you a-aren't sure what that is or b-are so used to what you have that the new is terrifying.
Its hard job hunting now because you feel like its a waste.
Its hard to stay motiviated because it feels like a waste.
So why do it?
But really it is self sabotage and it is definitely no good, for anyone. I think to some degree, everybody holds themselves back.
I know what it's like hiding whats really going on inside, ive been doing it for a good 12 years, very few people ever even see a glimmer of the truth, a way of protecting ourselves and our loved ones I think.
Today I watched Oprah. I know sounds a little cliche but bear with me. I watched the interview with the woman mauled by a chimp. This woman lives in a hospital, she has no eyes, they grafted her a new nose out of a piece of her leg, she has no hands, only one thumb, no real mouth and she has to take all her food through a straw. If ever there was a motivator, it was watching this, why?
She still gets up EVERY DAY. She told Oprah even when she doesn't feel good, she makes herself get upt and go for a walk...This woman who was lucky enough to survive her upper jaw being ripped off, her hands being shredded and pretty much her face being ripped off by a chimp, still gets up every day and does what she HAS to and then some. She doesn't just sit in her hospital bed all woe is me. She lives her life as fully as she can and here we are, people who are blessed enough to see, to smell, to grasp things and we bitch about life??
Seriously, I don't have all the answers and I wont pretend to but Id say read the interview, it is truly inspiring.
You and me both. What are you doing to get back on track!?
Being happy or even content with where I'm at physically and emotionally! I'm workin on gettin back on track tho!
