Tonight is the first important "Debut 2010" show, really.
Last night, we did dress rehearsal, and then a show for High School students. They went really well, it's a little insane (and making me go down the runway twice? Meeean). But it's going to be great tonight!

Slept through my alarm and have a hem to fix before i head out this afternoon, somebody wish me luck! Haha.

I never realised before..

That everything takes at least twice as long with pneumonia..

I called the head of the Theatre department at FIDM and told him that I had to go to the doctor on Tuesday to make sure I wasn't killing myself by not resting while having pneumonia.. and the first thing he said was "Oh shit!" And my only reply was "...Yeah."

And it hurts to sigh and laugh. So I can't sigh about it, or laugh it off. Sweet.

Aww, honey. Don't worry about whatever that peon said. Most people don't know the passion, dedication & hard-ass work people put in to shows like that. And people are making little 'comments' it's because they feel the need to feel 'more important'. Closeted inferiority-complex, if you ask me.

What you do is amazing. I'm jealous! You have a talent, and you work hard. Be proud of yourself!!!

You are just as important as them. I have no clue why people are so obsessed with fashion design vs costume design. I have always been impressed with both. And I think if you are going to choose one of those fields you should love fashion as a whole and not be so closed to the rest of the fashion world like they are. It almost seems like they are disgracing everybody by trying to put one thing ahead. They are both important and should both be appreciated as equal. The work you do is amazing and I am proud of you.

haha word. im hopin the korean music festival has snsd this year again. sure kara and wonder girls are showin but snsd is my selling point. though i doubt they're gunna be there cuz i think they're spose to be in Taiwan at the same time. they better go or else im not goin! *stomps feet* :D

The theme was taking Judy Garland and Liza Minelli's hit movies/music and creating new costumes for them.
Which turned out way nicer looking than it sounds, haha. And tonight is the last show, so I will upload pictures after that for sure!

Once I managed to calm down enough, I realised that the Theatre Costume closet has a few home sewing machines. The plan is now to beg/bribe the head of the department to let me take one home until my machine is fixed, haha.

Well, I had a carpool for the fashion program, so that wasn't so bad. And I have to carry so much stuff for the Theatre program, I can't even imagine trying to get it on the train! Haha.

I have the canvas FIDM bag, a big black rolling bag, two garment bags, and my normal purse filled with things I forgot to put in the other bags, minimum every week now. lol
