Amanda and I finally got married on Friday. I say finally because I've known I was going to marry her since before I moved out here, I actually knew the moment we met IRL for the first time.
I could fill a book about everything she and I have been through, but all that really matters is that it is SO damn worth it.
The wedding was very nice, well beyond my expectations. I wasn't nervous at all until the night before when my dad text messaged me with "Good luck, take care of your wife"
Wow, the whole "Take care of your wife" thing made my nerves JUMP. I felt like I got punched in the stomach. >_>
I think that's when it hit me. Not that I was getting married, but that I was now RESPONSIBLE in taking care of another person. I'm a very traditional type of guy in some aspects of marriage, and I feel that "taking care" of my wife is very, very, very important.
I mean, sure, I've been doing my best in taking care of Amanda since I moved down here; but I did it because its just something that I do. NOW, it's my responsibility. Meaning I CAN'T mess up! D8
Amanda did a good job in not letting me know anything about the wedding dress or how she was going to look on our wedding day, and wow, when I saw her I was SO close to crying. I think she could tell. She looked absolutely gorgeous.
Everything just felt right.
The rest of the actual ceremony was sort of a blur. We took a million pictures, some pretty silly ones too that I'm sure our kids will make fun of when we're older. LOL
She called this past weekend the "Marriage Weekend" or "Her weekend" and it basically came down to me doing whatever she wanted me to do. :-) It didn't really feel that way at all though, because I'm a big mushball and I LIKED doing EVERYTHING we did this weekend. I've never flown a kite before, and we did that yesterday. I must have looked hilarious with my fat ass running down a big field flying a kite in one hand and trying to hold up my pants in the other hand.
We leave for our honeymoon on Saturday and she said that the honeymoon is "MY time", so I guess she's supposed to do whatever I want now.

Got my North Carolina drivers license today.
A couple of differences between the NC DMV and the California DMV.
First off, at the NC DMV you get your physical license the SAME DAY you take/pass the test. In California they mail it to you and you get it within a week or so.
In NC, you get to pick a DESIGN on the license! You can get a background of NC, a plane, a lighthouse or the NC seal.
I got the airplane of course.
My picture is HORRIBLE. I look pale and fat.
I've gained a TON of weight since I've been here. :-/
I hope that going on walks with the puppy once we get her will curtail all of that stuff.

travis I was in nc about 5 times so far visiting some relatives, and I been strolling around a bit, and I been to a few places
and when I go back to visit some relatives and if I do pump into you don;t be surprized if your getting your self f'd up in a second, and don;t be surprized if any given police officer in nc puts a billy club in to the back of your head long ways at any given time ,, you never know whats going to happen and who knows who out there
and you shouln't be running around threatening to rape woman either
