As for as the education comment, Préval is a pretty smart guy. He has a couple of degrees and attended a couple pretty decent schools. He may not be the best leader, but he hasn't been that horrible.

Well from what I recall Haiti took the money to try and fix some of the other issues besides what could have possibly helped make this less of a mess, one being famine. I don't know much about running a country, but if I was faced with a lot of problems, that would be the first on my list. Most people take for granted how lucky they are to have food, and not even just enough food to survive, but so much food that we're picky with what we eat and often throw a lot of it away. However it is true, less can sometimes go further. I just don't see them not cleaning up this mess if given the funds.

I KNOW! I would love to go through Chicago. I mean I have friends and family I would LOVE to visit, not to mention the city but frankly, it's out of my way to get to Boston : /
