Death of a tree

Death of a tree

Love of mine
Someday you will die
But I'll be close behind
I'll follow you into the dark
No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of the spark

If heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

In catholic school, as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me "Son fear is the heart of love"
So I never went back

If heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

You and me
Have seen everything to see
From Bangkok to Calgary
And the soles of your shoes
Are all worn down, the time for sleep is now
But it's nothing to cry about 'cause we'll hold each other soon
In the blackest of rooms

If heaven and hell decide that they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark
And I'll follow you into the dark.

While I drove to our meeting place to catch the sunrise(which was on June 12) this song randomly played. Love the song. Enjoy!

It was an fun filled day! I woke up around 3:00 in the morning. Met up with some friends then we decided to drive down south instead to catch the sunrise. What is so funny is that "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles played randomly on Adrian's ipod.Perfect for the day. After we got all our shots we went to this look out. I forget what its called. But here is the shot. I love the rich blue color of the ocean and the greens of the mountains. Well enjoy! and HAPPY TUESDAY! BE safe!

Isn't the song catchy?

So, after my little sister's (Angie) promotional we decided to have brunch at kings and then head to the Mall. My other sister "Adrienne" decided to treat Angie to play at the Fun Fair. I drifted apart from them for a bit and ohhh mang i just saw a ray of light shine upon the carousel at the park. "AHHHHH" hahahaha. After I got my shot I saw my other sister "Dreah" near the Tekken 6 game area and there were a bunch of elementary students leaving and so i told her to keep still and lo and behold all the little kids were walking passed her. OH SNAPS! HEHEHE! THANK YOU!

GOOD MORNING! GOOD AFTERNOON! & GOOD NIGHT!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Happy Mother's Day to My MOM and to all the mother's out there....

You taught me everything
And everything youve given me
I always keep it inside
Youre the driving force in my life, yeah
There isnt anything
Or anyone I can be
And it just wouldnt feel right
If I didnt have you by my side
You were there for me to love and care for me
When skies were grey
Whenever I was down
You were always there to comfort me
And no one else can be what you have been to me
Youll always be you always will be the girl
In my life for all times

Mama, mama you know I love you
Oh you know I love you
Mama, mama youre the queen of my heart
Your love is like
Tears from the stars
Mama, I just want you to know
Lovin you is like food to my soul
Youre always down for me
Have always been around for me even when I was bad
You showed me right from my wrong
Yes you did
And you took up for me
When everyone was downin me
You always did understand
You gave me strength to go on
There was so many times
Looking back when I was so afraid
And then you come to me
And say to me I can face anything
And no one else can do
What you have done for me
Youll always be
You will always be the girl in my life

Ahh the beauty of the night and long exposure. This is one of few attempts of trying to play with my camera's shutter priority. I will attempt to do this again. My mind has been set on getting a Nikon:)

DAILY DOSE OF IMAGERY IV

This contraption that you see before you and the several people that you seeing taking a look at it has been part of the Micronesian Mall for the longest time. I remember when I was younger just watching the cue balls go down the big thing that looked like a wok. Like I would always try to guess which colored cue ball would go in the whole first. A friend of mine just reminded me of my childhood and how children are fearless! They do anything they want and sometimes get away with it. Happy FRIDAY! I am going to be so busy tomorrow. Doing projects and take home finals. AHHH! K k! be safe!

AHHH! NO FEAR RIGHT?
I do have fears. I have the fear of anything bad happening to people I care about. I have a fear of walking up to someone and starting a conversation. BUT! I have to do it! There's nothing wrong with that right? It will not hurt! Is being afraid a sign of being human? what characteristics make a human....human? I am not saying that being afraid is a bad thing...its just one thing i want to get rid of. FEAR!

My wife called, 'How long will you be with that newspaper? Will you come here and make your darling daughter eat her food?

I tossed the paper away and rushed to the scene. My only daughter, Sindu, looked frightened; tears were welling up in her eyes. In front of her was a bowl filled to its brim with curd rice. Sindu is a nice child, quite intelligent for her age.

I cleared my throat and picked up the bowl. 'Sindu, darling, why don't you take a few mouthful of this curd rice? Just for Dad's sake, dear'.

Sindu softened a bit and wiped her tears with the back of her hands. 'Ok, Dad. I will eat - not just a few mouthfuls, but the whole lot of this. But, you should...' Sindu hesitated. 'Dad, if I eat this entire curd Rice, will you give me whatever I ask for?'

'Promise'. I covered the pink soft hand extended by my daughter with mine, and clinched the deal. Now I became a bit anxious. 'Sindu, dear, you shouldn't insist on getting a computer or any such expensive items. Dad does not have that kind of money right now. Ok?'

'No, Dad. I do not want anything expensive'. Slowly and painfully, she finished eating the whole quantity. I was silently angry with my wife and my mother for forcing my child to eat something that she detested. After the ordeal was through, Sindu came to me with her eyes wide with expectation. All our attention was on her. 'Dad, I want to have my head shaved off, this Sunday!' was her demand.

'Atrocious!' shouted my wife, 'A girl child having her head shaved off? Impossible!'

'Never in our family!' My mother rasped. 'She has been watching too much of television. Our culture is getting totally spoiled with these TV programs!'

'Sindu, darling, why don't you ask for something else? We will be sad seeing you with a clean-shaven head.'

'Please, Sindu, why don't you try to understand our feelings?' I tried to plead with her.

'Dad, you saw how difficult it was for me to eat that Curd Rice'. Sindu was in tears. 'And you promised to grant me whatever I ask for. Now, you are going back on your words. Was it not you who told me the story of King Harishchandra, and its moral that we should honor our promises no matter what?'

It was time for me to call the shots. 'Our promise must be kept.'

'Are you out of your mind?' chorused my mother and wife.

'No. If we go back on ourpromises, she will never learn to honour her own. Sindu, your wish will be fulfilled.'

With her head clean-shaven, Sindu had a round-face, and her eyes looked big and beautiful.

On Monday morning, I dropped her at her school. It was a sight to watch my hairless Sindu walking towards her classroom. She turned around and waved. I waved back with a smile. Just then, a boy alighted from a car, and shouted, 'Sinduja, please wait for me!' What struck me was the hairless head of that boy. 'May be, that is the in-stuff', I thought.

'Sir, your daughter Sinduja is great indeed!' Without introducing herself, a lady got out of the car, and continued, 'that boy who is walking along with your daughter is my son Harish. He is suffering from... leukemia'. She paused to muffle her sobs. 'Harish could not attend the school for the whole of the last month. He lost all his hair due to the side effects of the chemotherapy. He refused to come back to school fearing the unintentional but cruel teasing of the schoolmates. Sinduja visited him last week, and promised him that she will take care of the teasing issue. But, I never imagined she would sacrifice her lovely hair for the sake of my son!

Sir, you and your wife are blessed to have such a noble soul as your daughter.'

I stood transfixed and then, I wept. 'My little Angel, you are teaching me how selfless real love is!'

The happiest people on this planet are not those who live on their own terms but are those who change their terms for the ones whom they love !!
